In certain situations your appraiser might send you an email or text (In canada only) message asking for help performing a walkthrough if they aren't able to physically come out to the property and do it themselves. This is where Anow Walkthrough comes in - it's super easy to use and takes less than 30 minutes to complete!

The only things you'll need to complete a walkthrough are:

  • A smartphone or computer

  • A camera, doesn't have to be anything fancy

  • Access to the home/property to take photos

You'll get an email with the subject line: Your appraiser needs your help - Walkthrough requested. When you're ready to perform the walkthrough, you can click the Let's Get Started button to launch the survey. You might also get a text message (If you're in Canada) informing you of the same thing. It just depends how your appraiser has set up your contact information in Anow.ย

When you first launch the survey you'll see the Walkthrough welcome page. Follow the prompts to move forward to the next step in the process.ย

This is what the main page of your Walkthrough survey looks like. Here you'll see all of the unique sections required to complete the survey:

  • Exterior

  • Foundation

  • Interior

  • Rooms

  • Parking

  • Extra Features

Selecting the Exterior tab, for example, will reveal a form specifically for details regarding the exterior of the property. Fill out the information accordingly for each section shown on that main page (see previous screenshot for reference).ย

In each section you have the opportunity to upload multiple photos to provide the most clarity and information possible to the appraiser.ย

Please note that the pictures you are submitting will be used by a real estate appraiser to assist in the development of an appraisal report. It is important to understand that purposely manipulating, or altering the photos will result in possible legal action and loss of your loan. Appraisal reports that are developed with the use of owner submitted photos are subject to re-inspection to confirm accuracy.

As you complete the forms for each specific area of the property, going back to the main list of forms will show a green check-mark next to any of the areas you already finished. When all of the boxes have check-marks, you can click the button that says I finished! Notify my appraiser ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Ta-da! ๐ŸŽ‰ You're all done. See how easy that was? And you've just been a huge help to your appraiser.ย
