Begin by going to your user list and select the user you want to edit. From the user details screen, choose the Fee Schedule tab. Here you'll see options for both Appraiser and Reviewer commission for the selected user.

Appraiser Commission Example

Choose whether you want the Appraiser commission for this user to be calculated by % or set with a flat fee.

  • If you choose the "By Percentage" option, the appraiser fee will be calculated by: Report Fee x Appraiser Commission Percentage.
For Example: The report fee is $450 and the commission set to 13%. The appraiser fee will equal $58.50 ($450 x 0.13)

  • If you choose the "Flat Fee" option, the appraiser fee will equal this amount and be the same no matter what the report fee is.
For Example: The report fee is $450 and the flat fee is set to $45. The appraiser fee will equal $45.

You can enter an amount in both the % and flat fee fields, but you have to pick one to be the default when this user is assigned to a fee.

Now whenever this user is assigned as the appraiser on an order with a Report Fee or is assigned directly to a fee, the commission will automatically be calculated.

Reviewer Commission Example

Choose whether you want the Reviewer commission for this user to be calculated by % or set with a flat fee.

  • If you choose the "By Percentage" option, the reviewer fee will be calculated by: Report Fee x Reviewer Commission Percentage.
For Example: The report fee is $450 and the commission set to 8%. The Reviewer Fee will equal $36 ($450 x 0.08)

  • If you choose the "Flat Fee" option, the Reviewer fee will equal this amount and be the same no matter what the report fee is.
For Example: The report fee is $450 and the flat fee is set to $35. The Reviewer Fee will equal $35.

Similarly to the Appraiser Fee, you can enter an amount in both the % and flat fee fields, but you have to pick one to be the default when this user is assigned to an order as a Reviewer.

Now whenever this user is assigned as the Review Lead on an appraisal, their fee will automatically appear in the Fees & Costs section (as long as there is a Report Fee present on the order).
