Using the Comps Import Tool

In the Comparables section there's an Import button in the toolbar.

Upload your CSV file here:

On the Import Comparables screen you will see each individual column from your file displayed (see photo below). The top header in bold font is the name of that particular column in your .CSV file, and the data shown just below that is a sample from your uploaded spreadsheet.

Next, click where you see Match to Comp Field, then choose which of the provided Reports Now comp fields best suits that column of data. The Reports Now comp field you choose will be where you can find that information after you've completed your import.

Please Note: If you don't see a Reports Now™ comp field that properly corresponds with the data for a particular column of yours, you can simply select Skip.

After choosing a field label that accurately represents the data from that column, the box will turn green; this is to let you know when a column is ready to be imported.

Once you've selected a comp field for each column you want to import and the required field (Address), click on the green Next button towards the lower right of your screen.

Anow Pro Tip: Before clicking "Next" you can choose to save this mapping sequence for future use by selecting Save Mapping and giving it a name. If a mapping is saved, it can be applied to any comp import on a different report in Reports Now™ in the future.

The next step after matching each field is selecting the comps you want to import. By default they're all selected, but you can click on any of them to remove them from the import. Click Next again.

Please Note: If you have a bunch of comps and you only want a few to be imported, you can click "Unselect All" and then choose the few you actually want imported into your Vault.

When the import has finished, your comp details will be available in your CompVault, which you can then easily add directly into your report.

Anow Pro Tip: Zoom all the way out on the map view to see all comps stored in your Vault.

How to Generate a CSV File for Import

Files that you've created in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers for Mac can all be downloaded or exported to a CSV document.

  • Simply open the file you want to be in a CSV format, then click on the File tab of the menu.

  • Finally, look for Export To or Download As in the dropdown, and click the CSV export option from there.
