Detailed vs. Summary Custom Reports

When using the new Custom Reports feature in Anow, you might be wondering what the difference is between Detailed and Summary reports. We've put together this article to answer any questions you may have!

On the page where you create your custom report, you'll automatically see the Detailed report type will be selected, this is by default. Click the circle next to the Summary report type to switch from the Detailed report. 

Detailed

Each line in your report is a stand-alone piece of data. 

For example, if you use this report type and want to see how many orders were assigned to each appraiser during a certain date range, you'll see each appraisal as an individual line item. In other words, you won't just see the total number of appraisals ordered. See this screenshot for reference:

Summary

Each line in your report is a grouping of data that allows you to see high-level information. 

For example, in the screenshot below you'll see I've chosen a Summary report, sorted by the Primary Appraiser. Instead of seeing each individual line item for each appraiser, I get the totals for each appraiser listed:
